Our Story…

How stik-pak Came to Be

In 2012 with Vertical Form, Fill and Seal experience from a sister facility in the medical field, a vision was born to take this knowledge to the Flexible Packaging market. Design plans underway in 2013, the Stik-Pak Solutions facility opened for business in 2014 boasting a brand new 25,000 square foot facility.

Fast forward five years, 2019, a new state of the art facility was in the design and planning stage for a 50,000 square foot footprint in the new Summit View Business Park located 8 miles north of downtown Rocky Mount, VA. The new Stik-Pak Solutions facility officially opened for business in 2021. With the additional space came growth of the employee base and the need for additional shifts. In 2022, Stik-Pak Solutions started its third shift lines with upwards of 100 employees. The facility and company are on an upward climb even today with over 150 fulltime employees!

Check Out Our..

State of the Art Facility

Our purpose built facility was completed in 2021, and was specifically designed to support our packaging processes. This is an evolving industry with constant updates to the accepted best practices, so we built our home to adapt to those conditions. Our 50,000 sq/ft primary production facility is located in the newly developed Summit View Business Park in Rocky Mount, Virginia. We also have intentions to build another 50,000 square feet of production space by 2027 so that we can continue to expand our offerings and capacity for our partners. We purchase the majority of our machinery new, and train and maintain it up to the highest standards. We have been audited every year since incorporating, and we are pleased to report that we were found to be 100% compliant during our last NSF audit thanks in large part to the quality facility and machinery we maintain. We invite you to come see for yourself what a state of the art production facility looks like. Call to schedule your tour today!

Kennon Marshall

Kennon has been active with Stik-Pak Solutions since 2017 when he moved to the area to continue his career path within the family businesses. Once he understood the opportunities that were possible with Stik-Pak Solutions, he began to directly develop the business’ structure and culture. He became the CEO and owner in 2019 after endeavoring to break out the business from its sister entities. Since then he has worked with his team to drive Stik-Pak to the forefront of the flexible packaging industry, while also developing it into a large business with small business principles. His favorite part of his role is seeing the positive change his efforts have made on the employees and the community.

Kennon has received both a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from Indiana University. After graduating, he attained an accounting team lead position with Cummins, Inc. while working toward his eventual CMA certification in accounting. Having spent most of his life in larger cities, it has taken a few years for Kennon to acclimate to the more rustic climate of Western Virginia, but he has fallen in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains and Smith Mountain Lake. For leisure he enjoys riding jet skis, and playing board games with friends. At the end of the day, he looks forward to spending time with his wife, son, and pets before relaxing with a good meal and maybe a good bourbon on tougher days.

Liz Marshall

Liz has received both a Bachelors in Fine Arts and an MBA with marketing emphasis from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Upon graduating, she attained a marketing coordinator role with Marysville Marine in Nashville, TN, a nationwide outdoors company.

Liz married Kennon in 2018 and joined him in Roanoke, Virginia. Liz joined the Board of Directors for Stik-Pak in 2020 and became Chief Marketing Officer in 2023.

As a Christian, Liz is thankful for the paths God has led Stik-Pak down, allowing it to grow a better community and future for Franklin County. Liz loves spending time with her husband, baby boy, Cashew the labradoodle, Scuttle the tabby cat, and Princess Pancake the bearded dragon. She enjoys the beautiful scenic Appalachian Mountains, as well as water sports and activities on Smith Mountain Lake.

Jim Palasota

Jim joined Stik-Pak Solutions in May 2023, relocating from Scottsdale, AZ to the beautiful hills of Virginia. Growth-focused and innovative, Jim is a talented, high-functioning leader who leverages over 30 years of industry experience. As the Chief Operating Officer of Stik-Pak, Jim is responsible for all operations, maintenance, shipping and receiving functions. He has the unique ability to grasp the most complex issues and challenges, find sound solutions and implement processes that continue to move the business forward. Jim is never happy with standing still, and always looks for creative and innovative ways to grow and expand the business.

Jim is a native of Texas and received his BBA from Sam Houston University. He began his professional sales and managerial career in the skin care industry. Soon, he was recognized for his leadership and business development qualities, which led him to opportunities abroad, living and filling the role as CEO/COO with companies in Ireland, England, and Canada. Ultimately, he transitioned from this role moving back to the United States to build two start-up companies from the ground up to multiple million-dollar international known brands today.

Jim is a devoted husband, father of one daughter and grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren. In his free time, his time and energy are spent on ‘honey-do jobs’, cooking and carrying for 3 cats and a black lab.
